Speed Rack hit Hollywood! Held at the historic Blossom Room at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, the gorgeous ballroom was filled with lovely competitors - many dressed in old Hollywood glamour themed outfits befitting the venue.21 ladies from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego vied for the top eight spots.

VIPs included actor Alexander Martin and legendary photographer Moshe Brakha, as well as media from various trade and consumer publications. Local news channel KTLA had a cameraman on hand to film the event.
Hosts Simon Ford and Eric Alperin (The Varnish LA) kept the show running as DJ Donald Fernie kept the house rocking in between rounds and set a high energy mood by spinning fun songs for each bout.

In front of a packed house of over 200 people, the competition was judged by Ted Haigh (Dr. Cocktail), Hollis Bulleit (Bulleit Bourbon), Aidan Demerest (Neat) and local LA Times writer Jessica Gelt.

A festive time was had by all, and most importantly, over $4,500 was raised for breast cancer research, education and prevention.
